Enjoy a free concert performance by 130 of the district's most talented middle school and high school musicians, under the direction of two outstanding guest conductors; Mr. Mike Pearce and Dr. Joseph Martin. Training Camp Schedule for the Colorado Avalanche at Family Sports Center-FREE

The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced its training camp dates for the upcoming 48-game season. The Avs will open camp on Sunday, Jan. 13.

All practices that take place at the South Suburban Family Sports Center in Englewood, Colo., will be open to the public.

Ice Fishing Clinics and Safety


Happy New Year!

Colorado Parks and Wildlife will be offering an informative and FREE seminar for all levels of ice fishing anglers on January 17th. Space is limited so please see the attachment for more information. Also, if you’re going to be on the ice please keep safety in mind. Below are some links that give a variety of safety tips for fishing on the ice.

Tomorrow, Saturday, October 5th, from 9am to 12pm, Cunningham Station 62 will be hosting a Fire Prevention Open House and pancake breakfast at  Station 62 at Smoky Hill Rd. and Buckley Rd., right next to the new Wall Mart.  

Heather Gardens has a new Clubhouse. Grand Opening on September 28th.

The dedication begins at 11 a.m. with remarks by Aurora Mayor Steve Hogan. 

The public open house runs from 11:30-1:30 and includes “What’s Cooking in Aurora” food sampling.  The sampling will include food from ten restaurants: Applebee’s, Blossoms, Carrabba’s, El Lucerito, Harvard Square, Legends, Noonan’s, Olive Garden, Sam’s No. 3 and Village Inn.

Special Tribute to first responders Fires, shootings and 9/11


Tuesday, September 11, 2012 | 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM @ Civic Center Park

Join us for Colorado Remembers – a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony & Special Tribute to first responders in the wake of the Colorado wildfires  and the Aurora tragedy.  This free event in Civic Center Park, will include the Colorado National Guard, Taps &  World Trade Center artifacts.

Hosted by Governor John Hickenlooper, Denver Mayor Michael Hancock and Aurora Mayor Steve Hogan, the event will feature remarks by Denver Broncos’ John Elway and live musical performances by Hazel Miller and the Colorado Children’s Chorale.

A special tribute will be made by Aurora Police Chief Dan Oates and Aurora Fire Chief Mike Garcia.
